Caudalie Glycolic Peel Mask

Why I love it:

This is a gentle, glycolic acid peel mask that you can use at home to elevate your skincare routine and boost your skin’s healthy glow. I see a visible difference in the appearance of my skin after using this peel, which only takes ten minutes, so it’s very lifestyle friendly (and budget friendly as well)!

I love that this brand uses clean ingredients – which is very important to me for our skin health and overall health – and donates a portion of their global sales to reforestation efforts.  When my patients with rosacea or eczema or sensitive skin hear the world “peel” or “acid” they get worried.  They assume this is an entire category of products they just can’t use.  This mask is an exception.  It’s super gentle, so I find that even my patients with the most sensitive skin benefit from using it.  If you have sensitive skin, or reactive skin, I would consider starting with a 3 minute application once a week.  As soon as you rinse it off, apply your favorite moisturizer.  Then, after a few weeks, consider leaving it on for 5 minutes, then gradually increase the time to 10 minutes.  Another sensitive skin tip: the night AFTER using this peel, just use a moisturizer with calming/hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin or royal jelly or honey. Of course, as with all new skincare products you try, listen to your skin. Burning, pain, discomfort = take it off, wash it off, and don’t assume these are signs that the product is working!

Key Ingredients:

Glycolic Acid: gently exfoliates your skin without any harsh scrubbing or irritation, is beneficial to address fine lines, discoloration and overall skin texture

Papaya Enzymes: help to brighten your skin, decrease inflammation, and act as an exfoliant to slough away dead skin cells, leaving your skin smooth
