We asked Whitney Bowe, a professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the author of The Beauty of Dirty Skin, to explain. “Taking an oral probiotic supplement can decrease the system-wide inflammation that plays a role in everything from arthritis and cardiovascular disease to acne, rosacea, and eczema.
