Backstage at Good Morning America: Spring Inspired Beauty
One incredibly fun perk of my job is that I learn so much about the latest beauty trends and products and I get to try them out as well! I love sharing these insights with you!
Last week, on GMA, we opted for a spring-inspired peach glow!
GMA Makeup Artist Valerie Johnson achieved this look by using the following products:
Lipstick: MAC Peach Blossom CremeSheen + Pearl Lipstick
Blush: Gwen Stefani for Urban Decay Palette (peaches and pinks)
Val, who typically does Amy Robach’s makeup, also shared her everyday staples!
Val’s Must Haves:
1) Kat Von D shade and contour palette for eyes. This palette includes all very matte neutrals. Val uses the rust color on all skin tones to help sculpt the eyelid.
2) Urban Decay eyeshadow palette 1 & 2 (one is neutral and one is all pinks, purple and mauve)
3) Bare Essentials hydrating loose powder (perfect for an all over glow without being too shiny) – and –
4) MAC’s mineralize skin finish compact powder, which Val uses to blend everything used on the eyelids. She also uses it as a highlighter for the eyelids and at the corners of the eyes and cheekbones for definition!
GMA Hair Stylist, DeAna Lando created my loose, sexy curls by using a 1 ½ inch curling iron and setting each curl with duck bill clips like this:
She allowed the curls to cool for five minutes and then took them down. She brushed her fingers through the curls, smoothed my hairline using her blow dryer and finally, used Rusk W8less hairspray all over my hair to keep the curl without weighing my hair down!
Enjoy this beautiful spring look and this spring weather!!
